Choco Rum Flip

A delightful and creamy blend of chocolate porter, dark rum, sugar syrup, and egg, served either hot or cold, with a hint of nutmeg.

Ingredients

  • 1.70 oz Meantime chocolate porter
  • 1.20 oz dark rum
  • 0.50 oz sugar syrup
  • 1 egg
  • Grated nutmeg for serving

Instructions

  1. For a cold serving, add all ingredients (except nutmeg) to a shaker and shake without ice to mix and aerate the egg.
  2. Add ice to the shaker and shake vigorously for 10-15 seconds.
  3. Strain into a glass with a few ice cubes, if desired, and grate nutmeg over the top.
  4. For a hot serving, combine all ingredients (except nutmeg) in a pan and heat gently, whisking until warmed through. Do not overheat to avoid scrambling the egg.
  5. Pour into a glass and grate nutmeg over the top.
