Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup full-fat coconut milk
  • 1/4 cup cream of coconut
  • 3 tbsp evaporated milk
  • 2 tbsp sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • a pinch of nutmeg
  • a pinch of salt
  • 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1.50 fl oz Puerto Rican rum
  • Cinnamon sugar for garnish
  • Cinnamon stick for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the coconut milk, cream of coconut, evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk, ground cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and vanilla extract.
  2. Mix the ingredients thoroughly until well combined.
  3. Add the Puerto Rican rum and stir until fully incorporated.
  4. Strain the liquid using a fine mesh strainer to remove any clumps of cinnamon or nutmeg.
  5. Refrigerate the coquito for at least 2 hours, or ideally overnight, to enhance the flavors.
