Ingredients

  • 3/8 cup freshly squeezed ruby red grapefruit juice
  • 1/4 cup white tequila
  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon simple syrup
  • 1 cup ice
  • Pinch of kosher salt
  • 1 thin wedge ruby red grapefruit, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a quart container, combine the ruby red grapefruit juice, white tequila, lime juice, and simple syrup. Freeze for at least 6 hours or overnight, until solid.
  2. Use a fork to break up the frozen mixture, then transfer half of it to a blender.
  3. Add 1 cup of ice and a pinch of kosher salt to the blender, and blend until smooth.
  4. Divide the frozen mixture between two highball glasses.
  5. Repeat the blending process with the remaining frozen mixture, ice, and salt.
  6. Garnish each glass with a wedge of ruby red grapefruit and serve the frozen palomas.
