Ingredients

  • 0.50 to 1 lime
  • Ice cubes
  • 2 ounces rum (preferably gold or dark)
  • 0.50 ounces gin
  • Coca-Cola (chilled)
  • 2 dashes Angostura bitters

Instructions

  1. Squeeze the lime half or halves into a Collins glass to yield 1/2 ounce juice, then drop in the spent lime half.
  2. Add 3 or 4 ice cubes to the glass.
  3. Pour in the rum and gin (if desired).
  4. Fill the glass with chilled Coca-Cola.
  5. Add 2 dashes of Angostura bitters.
  6. Stir briefly to incorporate all the ingredients.
