Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1-inch piece of ginger, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 6 bruised sage leaves with stems
  • 1 1/2 oz vodka
  • 1 oz pear juice
  • 1/4 oz ginger-sage simple syrup
  • 1/2 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 2 dashes orange bitters

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan over medium-low heat, combine water, sugar, ginger, and sage.
  2. Bring to a simmer and cook for about 5 minutes until the sugar dissolves.
  3. Allow the simple syrup to cool completely before straining it into an airtight container.
