Ingredients

  • 1.50 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 2 oz granulated sugar
  • 2 oz water
  • 1/4 cup blackberries
  • 1/4 cup raspberries
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh mint for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan over low to medium heat, soften the blackberries and raspberries with 1/2 cup of water until very soft.
  2. Use a hand food mill or a fine mesh strainer to separate the juices and seeds. Let the fruit juice cool and discard the seeds and skins.
  3. In another saucepan, dissolve the sugar in water to make a simple syrup.
  4. Combine the simple syrup, lemon juice, and blackberry-raspberry puree in a pitcher.
  5. Serve over ice and garnish with fresh mint.
