Ingredients

  • 1.50 ounces Strega liqueur
  • 0.50 ounce dry vermouth, like Dolin
  • 0.75 ounce fresh lemon juice
  • 3 to 4 dashes Angostura bitters
  • Ice
  • Fresh bay leaf, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a cocktail shaker halfway filled with ice, combine Strega, vermouth, lemon juice, and bitters.
  2. Shake vigorously for about 30 seconds until the outside of the shaker becomes cold and frothy.
  3. Strain the mixture into a coupe glass.
  4. Garnish with a fresh bay leaf and serve immediately.
