Ingredients
- 1.50 tbsp sugar
- 1.50 tbsp water
- 1 cup fresh mint leaves
- 1 cup black cherry bourbon or bourbon
- 1 cup sparkling water, chilled
- Ice cubes
- Fresh mint sprigs
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine sugar and water, then heat and stir over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.
- Remove from heat and stir in 1 cup of mint. Let it stand for 1 hour, then remove and discard the mint.
- Transfer the syrup to a small bowl and chill for several hours or overnight.
- When ready to serve, stir together the syrup and bourbon in a pitcher.
- Add the chilled sparkling water and stir gently.
- Serve the punch over ice, garnished with fresh mint sprigs.
