Ingredients

  • 1.50 tbsp sugar
  • 1.50 tbsp water
  • 1 tbsp fresh mint leaves
  • 1 tbsp black cherry bourbon or bourbon
  • 1 cup sparkling water, chilled
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh mint sprigs

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine sugar and water. Heat and stir over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in the fresh mint leaves. Let it stand for 1 hour, then remove and discard the mint.
  3. Transfer the mint-infused syrup to a small bowl and chill for several hours or overnight.
  4. In a pitcher, stir together the chilled syrup and bourbon.
  5. Stir in the chilled sparkling water.
  6. Serve the punch over ice and garnish with fresh mint sprigs.
