Rancho Romance
Rancho Romance is a delightful cocktail featuring hibiscus tea, tequila, and rosemary-infused simple syrup, with a zesty kick of lime juice, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 1 sprig rosemary
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 oz. dried hibiscus flowers
- 3 oz. hibiscus tea
- 2 oz. tequila
- 1 oz. rosemary syrup
- 1/2 oz. fresh lime juice
- 1 sprig rosemary, for garnish
Instructions
- Start by making the rosemary syrup. In a small saucepan over medium-high heat, combine sugar, rosemary, and 1 cup water. Cook until the sugar has dissolved, about 3 minutes. Let it cool and then strain it.
- Next, prepare the hibiscus tea. Bring the hibiscus and 1 cup water to a boil in a saucepan over high heat. Let it cook for 3 minutes, then allow it to cool before straining.
- Now, it's time to craft the cocktail. In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine the hibiscus tea, tequila, rosemary syrup, fresh lime juice, and 1/2 cup water. Shake vigorously.
- Strain the mixture into a highball glass filled with ice and garnish with a sprig of rosemary.
